MIRO FREITAS

Music has always been my gift.

Born on 18 October 1988 on the island of Madeira, Miro Freitas grew up surrounded by music. Son of Vasco de Freitas, one of the great icons of Madeiran music, he started “making noise on the piano” at the age of 12 — and never stopped.

He played in the band Onda Azul at 15 and in the legendary Conjunto Musical Galáxia, where he was a pianist and, later, the lead singer. In 2013 he launched his own project, Miro Freitas — a name built with effort and dedication, today cherished across Madeira.
